22 Jun Women and Finances
With Mother’s Day just past, we noticed there were several articles published that featured women and finances. The article “Women Control Family Purse Strings: Survey” writes that 82% of Canadian households the women are either the main decision marker or co-decision maker regarding finances. What is interesting it is still the men that make more money in the household on average; however, it is the women who have control of the finances.
Another article that was published in the London Metro this week is “A Look at the Pitfalls of Financial Infidelity”. It goes on to say that financial Infidelity is as damaging as regular infidelity. It lists five key rules to prevent financial infidelity. In short, be honest with your partner about finances, and if needed, seek credit counselling and/or marriage counselling.
